Elaphiti Islands cruise from Dubrovnik: lunch, drinks and swim stops
Updated October 8, 2026 · 6 min read
A cruise to Koločep, Lopud and Šipan is one of Dubrovnik’s easiest full-day escapes. These are the three inhabited Elaphiti islands, but a group cruise is a sampler rather than three complete island visits. The best-reviewed Elaphiti Islands cruise with drinks and optional lunch lasts roughly 7.5–8 hours and currently starts at €15 per person.
What changes from island to island
Koločep is compact and green, Lopud gives the most obvious beach time, while Šipan adds villages and a more spacious landscape. Exact harbours and stop lengths depend on the departure. If Šunj Beach is your priority, verify whether the timetable leaves enough time to walk or use local transport from Lopud harbour.
Lunch wording matters. “Optional lunch” is not the same as lunch included, and drinks may mean a limited onboard selection. Check the chosen rate, dietary requests and whether snorkelling equipment is supplied. Boats vary in shade, toilets and ease of boarding; ask the operator if any of those determine whether you can travel.
Cruise or public ferry?
The public Jadrolinija route links Dubrovnik with Koločep, Lopud and Suđurađ on Šipan. It is better for an independent day on one island. The cruise is better if you want several short impressions without managing connections. Wind and sea conditions can change swimming stops, so no honest operator can guarantee a particular cove.
Bring swimwear, sun protection, water and footwear for hot decks and village lanes. For most first-time visitors, the organised cruise is worthwhile; choose the ferry if depth matters more than variety. Check dates and meal options for the Elaphiti cruise or compare island tours from Dubrovnik.
